Centro Storico Fiat hosts a collection of cars, planes, models and advertising by artists spanning the Fiats entire history: from the first Fiat car, to the rather impressive Mefistofele, which in 1924 beat the world speed record (234.98 km/h ). The first tractor, the Fiat 702, the 18BL truck, which transported Italian troops in the First World War, the Littorina, a rail transportation leader beginning in the Thirties, and a G91 fighter, an aircraft designed by Giuseppe Gabrielli.
The Museum also shows Fiat ship engines, bicycles, refrigerators, washing machines and also includes a reconstruction of several facilities symbolic of fiats history and changes in its building proceses over the years.
More than 5,000 linear meters of print documents, 300,000 technical designs, 5,000 automotive and industrial history volumes and magazines, more than six million images and over 200 hours of Archive footage are available. although you have to make an appointment to view them.
Entry to the Museum is free of charge and only open on a Sunday ( 10am-7pm )
