Launched to mark the 70th anniversary of Ferrari, The LaFerrari Aperta is a limited edition of the already ultra rare LaFerrari supercar. With only 209 units being built exclusively for buyers hand picked by Ferrari.
Ferrari had even confirmed that all 209 has been sold before the car was shown to the public at the Paris Motor Show.
Its powered by the same V12 950bhp engine used in the original meaning it is just as quick as the coupe.
Ferrari mention that the powertrains control electronics have been modified to make it slightly more efficient, based on what they have learned from testing on the LaFerrari coupe.
The radiators have also been changed to direct air flow out along the underbody of the car instead of over the bonnet as on the coupe, this means hot air is stopped from reaching the cockpit, along with a bigger front air dam to help with downforce and other air duct changes.
Extensive modifications have been made to the Apertas chassis with the goal of keeping the same torsional rigidity and beam stiffness as on the the coupe. Further work has been done to the car's aerodynamics to guarantee the same drag coefficient while driving with the roof off.
Despite an increase in weight due to the modified chassis, the LaFerrari Aperta will go from 0-100Km/h in ‘under three seconds’, 0-200Km/h under 7.1seconds and on to a rather impressive top speed of over 350Km/h
The butterfly doors have been altered to a slightly different angle due to the loss of the roof section, this means the Aperta has slightly different wheelarches at the front with a new carbonfibre insert allowing the doors to rotate.
